We’re trialling a super-safe delivery service
Given that current Government guidelines count hardware shops and services as essential, and that many local businesses are now powered by delivery, we feel that we can safely trial this too - as long as we take suitable precautions such as physical distancing, protective equipment and extra cleaning.
We’re going community-powered
We’ve put together a team of six star volunteer Thing Deliverers from the local area who will be safely bringing (and taking away) the Things to your door on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
Back at our storage unit, our friendly and super handy Thing Technician Jamie will be checking, cleaning and fixing the Things you’ve borrowed ready for their next borrows.
We’re taking extra precautions:
The safety of our borrowers, team and volunteers are our utmost priority during this delivery trial.
We’ve given our Thing Technician and volunteer Thing Deliverers thorough training on how to keep themselves and borrowers safe whilst they’re out and about delivering and handling the Things. We consulted health and safety experts on our guidance to make sure we’ve covered all bases.
The deliveries and collections will be contactless, and everything will be double bagged to ensure minimal contact on the Thing itself.
Browse and reserve your Thing on the website and go through our quick steps on book and arrange delivery using your credit or debit card.
