Crystal Palace Town Team is a voluntary group of local traders, community groups, residents and local authority councillors set up to promote and improve the social, economic and environmental well-being of the neighbourhood area of Crystal Palace and Upper Norwood.

We have come together during this time of crisis to help support the local community and economy by signposting residents to local traders and services providers who are safely providing goods and services.

Employment, self-employment, charities, community groups, artists and arts organisations

Martin Lewis of Moneysupermarket.com is an acknowledged expert on all things money related and he has clear advice on all employment issues and funding for the self-employed here.

The community organisation Friends of Gipsy Hill have created a COVID-19 list of resources which cover local Mutual Aid groups, business support, local authority helplines and other community groups – it is really excellent and you can find it here.

Funding for charities and community organisations is also key to help these organisations stay afloat and support the most vulnerable in our society. The Small Charities Coalition is free to join and has great resources here. The National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) has advice and support on funding and other support for charities and community organisations here.

Art and culture are more important than ever in this time of crisis and lockdown but artists and arts organisations are struggling to survive. If you are part of this sector then head over to Arts Professional here for their Covidculture information page with tons of great support and information and follow the hashtag #covidculture on Twitter. The Audience Agency also has a resource hub that may be of use here. Finally if you are an arts freelancer check out this list of crowdsourced resources.
